Thirty years after Mulugeta Seraw, an Ethiopian immigrant, was beaten to death by three white supremacists, we honor his legacy with a short doc about his life and death, and the community response to hate. Come and share your memories of how this tragedy impacted you and the city, and let's gather to learn together how to stand up to hatred, bigotry, and racism today.
Short documentary co-produced by Mischa Webley and Laura Lo Forti. Video by Patty Torchia. Special thanks to Ewnetu Tsegaw.
With community dialogue. Special guests: Randy Blazak/ Oregon Coalition Against Hate Crimes; Jairaj Singh/ Portland United Against Hate
